Day at the Beach

The kids had such a blast! After church we took the kids to the beach. They each had a bucket & shovel & had a lot of fun building castles. Randi mostly enjoyed destroying what Trey was building. At one point I looked at Reagan who thought that she needed to taste it. Yuck! After we were ALL covered we took them to the park to let them wash off. Trey immediately ran in but Randi never ventured out in the water. Reagan just enjoyed watching all the kids & getting her feet wet.
We then went to visit MaMaw & Pa Paw Smith. We had a great visit with them. I was able to wash them up & get them into clean clothes. It took a little bit but they warmed up & had fun visiting with their great grandparents.

Play clothes

Thank you cousin Lori & Shelby!!
Randi loves all of the play clothes that you gave to her. These are the only ones that she can wear right now but she'll grow into the others. Reagan is already wanting to try them on to but she still has a few years. Love yall!!

Happy Anniversary!!

May 25, 2002

7 years!

Has it really been that long? It seems like yesterday that Aunt Denise played cupid. I have to say that I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful, man.

Yesterday my parents watched the kids while we went out just the two of us & it was SO nice , quiet & relaxing. Today we went to get Robert D. & Trey fitted for their tuxes. So on our way home we stopped & ate at O'Charley's (I had a coupon). What a difference our dinner was.

Randi decided it was better to eat her food under the table & that was too much of a temptation for Trey so he kept hitting her while he ate. And lets not forget Reagan who is in the highchair grabbing everything because the crazy waiter kept putting everything in her arm's reach & then she would voice her irritation at us moving everything & not giving her food in a timely manner!

Now if you know Robert D. he doesn't like to stand out & have too much attention on us so he was about over it & all I could do was laugh!! It was so funny to me. I love going out with my kids, they always make it memorable.

Preschool Graduation

I can not believe that my child just finished preschool!! It seems like just yesterday that I left him with Mrs. Nita.
Last night was so great!! Before his program we went to Trey's favorite place, Waffle House. There he got a few small toys for his graduation(like his dad did).
For the program they got to choose what they wanted to be when they grew up & Trey picked a hockey player. He got to dress like a hockey player & his line to say was, "I want to be a hockey player & skate across the ice. I won't be like the other guys, I'll play fair & nice." When it came his turn to speak he couldn't get his mask off but thankfully Mrs. Nina (his teacher) was there & helped him. I was so proud of him when he said his part. He did it PERFECT & SO CLEAR!(thanks Mrs. Cynthia)! Aunt Ange, you would be so proud!!
After all the classes were done came time for graduation. They each got a diploma & then they sang some songs. The last one they sang was by far the best. I laughed so hard that I was crying. Trey has since taught me & Randi how it goes.

I am so proud of my little man!!

Slip N Slide

Trey & Randi had so much fun on their slip n slide today. They have been asking to get this out everyday since I came home with it (thanks Nanny). Trey was very excited to put on his new buzz lightyear swimming pants (thanks Aunt Ange). Even though the water was ice cold I really think that they would still be out there if we didn't make them stop. Reagan of course watch Trey & Randi's every move. Maybe she can try it out in a few months.

Jump!

Since the summer is almost here & Trey & Randi will not be in daycare we decided to sign them both up for gymnastics. Trey loved it so much when he went but we stopped because he had soccer, church & t-ball. Coach Alaina is AWESOME!! She has helped Trey SO much. She teaches all the younger classes so she has been with Trey since he was 3. She told us tonight that she may even move him up into another class because he is doing so good. I know Trey will miss Coach Alaina.
Randi had a blast when she went. As you can see from the pictures who went in with her. She is such a daddy's girl, which I think is so cute. If you ask her who her boyfriend is she'll say her daddy.
Anyway, back to gym, Trey wasn't very happy b/c he couldn't go in but at the end of class she let Trey come in. Since Alaina teaches the preschool & kinder kid classes Trey & Randi go on different nights which isn't great for mommy & daddy but they are worth the drive. The gym that they go to is great! It's run by a former Olympic gold medalist, Vlad and his wife. They work so good with the little kids, everyone seems to have fun, even when he is correcting them.

Mother's Day

"When can I have my own day?"
That is what Trey kept asking us on Sunday. I had a nice mother's day. After church we went to my parents house to swim & have lunch. Trey had a blast swimming & Randi would go from the pool to the house, to the pool & back in the house. She isn't so sure of the whole swimming thing. We went back to our house so the kids could get a nap.
When they woke up they had the best time with a box. Trey loaded it down with blankets & they would climb in & "pretend" as their Aunt Cyndi use to say. Of course we had a meltdown or two but overall they played "good" together.
I am so blessed to have these HEALTHY, beautiful children call me mom.

Robert D. Smith, Ph.D.

I am so proud of my husband. When we met 8 years ago he was just starting his work for a doctoral degree. Today he holds that degree in his hands. It was a long road but he has earned those initals on the back of his name.
My parents rode up with us today & helped me with the kids during the graduation. My grandmother came down to see him get hooded. Trey & Randi kept hollering at Robert D. & waving their entire little bodies :) They watched very intently as his name was announced & clapped as he walked across the stage. Reagan however, decided it was her naptime & only woke up after he was done :( My mom & his mom kept Trey & Randi occupied during the rest of the graduation. Thankfully his part was at the beginning.
I do have to say that Randi was present during our family picture but she was laying on the ground because she didn't want her picture taken.
Afterwards we went to Robert D. 's fave place, Logan's! My parents got Robert D. a name plate with his new title & I got him a business card holder with his Ph.D. The kids got him a picture frame that says, "#1 DAD" with Robert D. Smith, Ph.D. Love, Trey, Randi & Reagan.

Congrats Dr. Robert D. Smith!!
I Love You!!!!

The Need for Speed

Trey & Randi love their tractor & 4 wheeler. They have to ride whenever we go over to my parents house. This time Reagan couldn't stand it anymore she wanted to try it out. She loved it & didn't want to get off. A few time she even managed to mash the pedal with her foot to make it go. Trey loved being the big brother holding his sister.

New Clothes

My mom & I went shopping Friday night to Kohl's. They have the cutest clothes for the kids & at a resonable price. After trying the clothes on the kids this morning & this is what Randi loved the most. She played with those tags & stickers for probably 30 minutes this morning.
